CARRASCO’s value proposal is based on the “Total Traceability”, from the design of the component until the end of its operating life. Information and marking systems, especially developed for this purpose, allow customized identification of each component as well as traceability solutions adapted to our customers’ needs and its improvement goals.
Knowing the relevant information, according to needs, about the background, location and path of each component (either by mould, location in the mould, manufacturing plant, finished product, final customer …) allows to carry out optimum tracking and control of the improvement programs and to achieve the wished results.
Antonio Carrasco i Riera, founder of the Company Carrasco S.A., was a member of Standardisation of FEAMM (Spanish Federation of Associations of Moulds and Dies), integrated in the Standardisation Committee of the International Association of Special Tools (ISTA).
This Organisation gathers manufacturers from Germany, Belgium, Spain, United States of America, France, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland, among others and its mission was to study, to prepare and to submit agreed standards to ISO for its final approval.
Outsourcing of moulds and dies often entails receiving components from suppliers using very different definition standards. All this leads to a big complexity, interchangeability problems and the need of maintaining a wide variety of components in the user’s stock to meet the demands of replacement of the damaged component / at the end of its operating life.
Our experience in the participation in international standardisation committees allows us to offer standardisation projects and optimisation of the components used in order to reduce the complexity and cost.
Our engineering, in collaboration with the customer’s different departments, carries out a study of the components used and proposes some specific and customised improvements to each case.
