At ANTONIO CARRASCO SA we are well aware of the major role of standard components in the life and functioning of tools, whether moulds, bed-dies or die-stamps. We also know how important they are in the production chain, and the difficulties and challenges constantly facing maintenance departments.

Given the above, we design a process which when implemented in collaboration with these departments optimises our clients' production. At present, the sector demands a considerable reduction in costs in order to cope with globalisation and thus avoid displacements. Standard parts and components of a mould or bed-die represent approximately 7% of the total value of the tool.

It is very important to lower this percentage, but the variation of 5% of these products only implies 0.4% of the total; a figure that is of little significance if we compare it with costs incurred by a breakage on the production line. Our proposal is based on TOTAL TRACEABILITY, from the design of the component to the end of its useful life.

When ANTONIO CARRASCO SA receives a manufacturing order for any component, particularly when the measurements, materials, tolerances etc are special, a "monitoring unit" is created which we control by means of a computerised system with all its characteristics, plans, material control, and so on. Once our manufacturing period is over, we supply this material and in collaboration with the user carry out a meticulous follow-up of how it works, with possible improvements, suggestions for new materials, alternative coatings or heat treatments, breakage control.

We make a study of the components that the client most often applies to his tools, an analysis of the items, frequent problems, material difficulty, etc and finally we propose specific, tailor-made improvements for each client.
